Extended updates

Finally I had the time to update my blog....

Travelling to the States

- Had to wait 16hrs at Changi airport, usually it's only 5-6 hrs but since I bought the air ticket pretty late

- That 16hrs wasn't as bad as I thought, I went out of the airport and met up with my buddy, Mei Yuan. We had Thai for dinner, the food was alright though. Then we walked around the shopping mall. Man, there were sales everywhere and people as well. Anyhow, it was great catching up with her though :)

- Finally get to watch Transformers on the plane, LOVE that movie! I'm collecting that DVD for sure!! Lol! I also got to watched The Game Plan, it's such a funny movie. Love that little girl, she's adorable.

- Bought some cute key chains and junk food at Narita airport.

- The plane from Chicago to Fayetteville kept on delaying. I supposed to depart from there at 5.20pm but ended leaving there at 6.55pm. It was freaking cold out there and I actually had to walk to the jet plane -_-

- I arrived Fayetteville about 10ish. Since I didn't have a cell phone, I had to call from the public phone but...it was broken. I was about to look for another public phone, then I saw my friend/teammate came in. Thank god I didn't have to wait at the airport. She and her roommate came to pick me up. I also stayed at their apt that night.

1st day at Fayetteville, Arkansas

- Only slept for 4 hrs that night cuz my friend told me I had to go to the pool the next morning to meet the coaches. (I've already trained with the coaches when I was at Florida which was about 3 yrs ago)

- I didn't swim that morning though cuz I didn't have my suit with me.

- One of the graduate assistant, Josh was taking me around the campus to get things settled. First, we went to the housing building to sign contract for the dorm and food. Then, we went to meet my advisor and discussed what classes I need to take. After that, we went to meet one of the academic advisor for all student-athletes. (She wasn't the main one, the guy who's supposed to be there was on leave)

- We got off campus to go for medical checkup around noon which was mandatory for all student-athletes.

- We went back to campus for the international student orientation.

- I got my classes registered around 5ish. Most of them are core classes which are required to take according to the NCAAs rules. I'm actually taking 18credits this semester, I had no choice cuz I missed last whole semester. I had to make up for that so I can be eligible to compete for college swimming by next Spring 2009.

2nd day at University of Arkansas

- I was planning to for Saturday morning practice but I didn't have a alarm clock and also I broke my phone the day before. So I couldn't wake up that morning and slept til noon.

- Can't remember much what I did that day, nothing special.

3rd day

- I went out with my friend, Steph (one of the girl who came to picked me up from airport aka my formal teammate back in high school) for groceries shopping.

- We had brunch at IHOP, it was delicioussss. I miss all the breakfast place at the states, wish they have that at home too.

- I thought we were just gonna do groceries shopping but she wanted to stop by the mall.

- I ended up buying some clothes at one store and some earings. So NOT necessary at all.

- We went to groceries shopping after the mall.

4th day

- It was a public holiday that Monday, Martin Luther Kings but we still had practice and actually double.

- I died really bad at my first practice here and in the weight room as well. I was so out of shape.

5th day

- It was my first day of class, I only had two classes on Tuesday and Thursday so it's kinda nice.

The rest of the week plus the weekend

- I got quite some to catch up cuz I missed a week of school last week.

- I really liked my communication class, it's very interesting. Don't liked the American history at all cuz I'm just not a history person. My chinese class is super easy...lol! The anthropology class is kinda boring..I didn't really know how to describe that class. And the psychology class was alright.

- I bought a pink sony camera online for only $311. I can't wait to get it and play with it. I miss playing with my brother's touch screen sony camera. Soon I'll have my own!! HAHAHA!

- I also just ordered a phone with a fixed line on the phone yesterday night. I figured it would be cheaper to get a fixed line then buying the prepaid card every month.

- I was just planning to do groceries shopping but again ended up buying makeup stuff at Sephora and a pair of boots. FYI, the boots was on sale and I really needed a new one. Lol..excuses..

Alrighty, that's all for now..Lata!!
